Did anyone else find that disappearing Airbus really creepy...sounds just a little too similar to a well known drama series for me...
I ollied my first box the other day (skating term, nothing sexual) which I was pretty happy about, but to be honest it's not the same as boardsliding over a pickup...
Ok Music...
Right reports of a new sub-genre are spreading through the blogs like WILDFIRE (good name for a band?), the notions have always been there, I personally think that The Count & Sinden were one of the first to produce a track like it (Stinging Nettle) and there have been other musical suggestions (Count Of Monte Crystal - Jungle Steppers, and Kanji Kinetic in some cases) but it looks like L-Vis 1990 has coined the term, let the 'Dubble Step' mayhem commence!
Taking the cheesy parts of dubstep, and to be honest stealing the best parts of dancehall and garage at the same time, it's basically dubstep with a strong 'up' beat. Have a listen...
Joker & Jakes - 3Klane (L-Vis 1990 Dubble Step Edit)
However I think this is a better and hugely popular 'Dubble Step' track...
The Temper Trap - Science Of Fear (The Count Medusa Remix)
What do you think? Is dubstep maturing with age?
Also THANKS to everyone who came down last friday to ML's second night out at Attic, was wicked to see you all, Wolfgang's 5th went down VERY well, especially as it is now on the beatport top 10. Check out the photos here.
